Pee Wee Herman Bike

We just recently had the pleasure of custom building a "Pee Wee Herman Bike". We started with a basic classic Schwinn that the customer provided. We found some motorcycle hard saddle bags along with a motorcycle trunk top case, these were modified and mounted to the rack that came with the bike. Sheet of metal was cut out for the center of the frame, it was also used to make the custom chain guard and the custom plate of the front wheel. We had the frame, fork, chain guard, fenders, and rear rack powdercoated. After that everything was custom painted with pinstripes and accented with strips of metal. Our Artist Enrique Sorrano Painted the tiger horn/microphone.

Schwinn American Beauty Restoration.

We restored this Schwinn American Beauty for a man that won this bike doing a paper route many years ago. I wish that I had taken a before picture but I failed to do so. The chrome on this bike when it came in was really bad. It had broken lights, broken reflectors, and rusted spokes. Its paint was faded. After assessing the bikes condition we decided to re-chrome all of the chrome pieces. We try and preserve the original paint on a lot of our classic Schwinns, Original paint helps to hold the dollar value of the bicycle. This particular bike had savable paint. We did some touch ups and then sprayed a clear coat over the original paint. This helped to bring out the original color. All of the broken lights and reflectors were replaced with NOS parts.

Schwinn Cruiser Restoration

As a lot of you may know we are very well known for classic bicycle restorations. This 1980 Schwinn Cruiser is my personal beach beater bike. Custom built with heavy duty Kruzer king rims, Haro BMX cranks,a profile sprocket, felt cruiser bars, complete with some old Shimano DX pedals that my husband used when he was a kid racing BMX. It was starting to get to the point where it needed to be repainted or it was going to rot away. To preserve everything we pretty much powdercoated the whole bike. Pictured below we have a before and after.
